Our Commitment

DutyKaro is committed to providing a website and mobile application that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We aim to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

WCAG 2.1 Compliance

We strive to meet the four principles of web accessibility as outlined in WCAG 2.1:

Perceivable — Content presented in multiple ways
Operable — Full keyboard and assistive tech support
Understandable — Clear, readable, predictable interface
Robust — Compatible with current and future tools

Accessibility Features

Our platform includes the following accessibility features:

  • Skip Navigation: Skip-to-content links are available on every page to bypass repetitive content.
  • Alt Text: All meaningful images include descriptive alternative text.
  • Color Contrast: We maintain minimum 4.5:1 contrast ratios for text and interactive elements.
  • Focus Indicators: Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements for keyboard users.
  • Resizable Text: Content can be resized up to 200% without loss of functionality.
  • Dark Mode: A high-contrast dark mode is available for users who prefer reduced brightness.
  • Semantic HTML: Proper heading hierarchy and ARIA landmarks for screen reader navigation.

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas may have limitations:

  • Some third-party embedded content (e.g., payment gateways) may not fully meet accessibility standards.
  • Certain interactive map features may have limited accessibility for screen reader users.
  • PDF documents generated for export may not be fully accessible.

We are actively working to address these limitations and improve accessibility across all platform features.
